What I love doing?

In 2019, I took up golf and learning to navigate the golf course and enjoy the scenery.

My dream as a teenager was to have a band which I did set up in 2016 called BassiiIV

I love playing the guitar – Rhythm and Bass! In 2009 – 2010, I played for a professional fusion band called Akala led by famous Kenyan musician Viola Karuri and various other rock bands. I am now working on creating my own EP as a solo musician.

Horses are said to have done more to change human history than any other domestic animal, once upon a time carrying explorers to new frontiers and mighty armies to great conquests. In 2014 and 2015, I learnt how to ride very briefly.

In 2011 and 2012, my focus was building iHub Research and learning and understanding the Technology and Innovation landscape in Kenya and Africa.

In 2013, I started WMIAfrica, An online digital network that brings young women together to work on innovative projects and ideas that lead to their skills development and knowledge sharing in preparation for the workforce.

In 2013, I started the Kids Hacker Camp, which is a week-long camp hosted at iHub. The camp is aimed at kids and teens aged 7 – 18 years, who are drawn to and interested in crafting, hacking, discovering and tinkering. The camp is envisioned and designed to provide an engaging platform on which children and teens can interactively learn, explore and build; spurring them to understand the world around them, analogue and digital. This exposure and tutelage will then go on to help them build skills in design/creativity, critical & systems thinking, collaboration and self-confidence.
